Coaches play an important role in sports with a lot of responsibilities and pressures, especially coaches of the game of cricket. The coaches will mainly contribute to the success or loss of the team via their decision-making skills.

The role of a head coach will partly be reflected by their remuneration. The followings are a list of the highest-paid cricket coaches in the world.

1/ Lalchand Rajput- Zimbabwe (INR 35.8 Lakhs)

As a former Indian cricket player, Lalchang Rajput is now a head coach of the Zimbabwe National Cricket team. Although Rajput has not played many international games, he is one of the most experienced coaches worldwide.

After his retirement from the cricket playing career, Rajput took up various coaching places. First of all, he coached India A team and was also the manager of the World Cup 2007 champion. He then became the head coach of the Zimbabwe National Cricket team and was also the head coach of Afghanistan’s cricket team.

He was one of the highest-paid cricket coaches when leading the Zimbabwe National Cricket team with a salary of INR35.8 Lakhs.

2/ Phil Simmons- West Indies (INR 64.5 Lakhs)

Phil Simmons was the former Caribbean all-rounder. Since October 2019, he has taken the duties as a head coach of the West Indies cricket team. Earlier, he worked as a head coach of Zimbabwe in 2004-2005 and also a head coach of the Afghanistan Cricket Team in 2017-2019.

As one of the most experienced coaches worldwide, he receives an average salary of INR64.5 Lakhs per annum.

3/ Mark Boucher- South Africa (INR 1.05 Crore)

Mark Boucher, a former South African wicket-keeper, has taken up the coaching positions in various since his retirement in 2012. He was named as a coach of the Proteas in December 2019 via a contract lasting until 2023.

This legendary wicket-keeper earns a salary of over INR1 Crore per annum.
