7/ Doc Rivers ($10 million per year)
With a yearly salary of $10 million, American basketball coach Doc Rivers ranked the seventh place in the list of ten highest-paid coaches in the world. He spent most of his basketball playing career with the Atlanta Hawks. He also joined the U.S. national team in the FIFA World Championship in 1982 in which his team gained the silver medal.
After retirement from a magnificent career as a player, Doc Rivers then became the successful coach of many teams. At the moment, he is a head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Since 2011, he has led the Clippers after signing a five-year contract extension worth $35 million in 2013.
6/ Zinedine Zindane ($10.1 million per year)
The list would be incomplete without mentioning a dynamic and talented leader Zinedine Zindane. He reached the top of the soccer-playing career in the victory of FIFA World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000 with France. The skilled player has achieved many awards and honors for his outstanding contributions and stepped into coaching in 2010. Now, he is a coach of Real Madrid.
5/ Arsene Wenger ($10.5 million per year)
Arsene Wenger, another French football player, started his career in 1978 as a defender. He luckily got on the road of coaching in 1984. He had managed four clubs before becoming a head manager at Arsenal now.
He started his long tenure at Arsenal in 1996 and became one of the most successful managers in this football team’s history.
Wenger does not completely depend on football for his earnings as he makes a huge amount with his automobile spare parts business.
4/Gregg Popovich ($11 million per year)
Gregg Popovich, a 68-year-old American basketball coach, lead the San Antonio Spurs to NBA Championships in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014. As such results, he becomes the longest tenured active coach for 30 years in the NBA.
In 2014, he signed a five-year contract extension with the Spurs. It is believed to make $8 million per season.
